Spent an hour with KBMR radio's Clarissa Lynn on the Happy Hour...a great polka show which airs every Sunday from noon to 2 pm. Clarissa was at Norsk Hostfest last year and attempted to interview the Western Senators but said the crowd was so big she couldn't get close to any of the group's members. I assured her that if she comes this year, we will be happy to do an interview and share a little lefse! Clarissa played a whole bunch of tunes from some of our Western Senators CDs...her favorite is the Hot Box Polka, written and performed by Mark Leik, also the Painter Polka (Aaron on vocals), Schultz's Polka...Thanks so much Clarissa for a great Sunday polka experience on KBMR! But the good news is the play dates were great and we have a commitment from Casino Regina for the PolkaFest in 2012...the weekend of April 13 and 14, with two days of PolkaRama tapings to follow. And on that note, the latest season of PolkaRama shows is now on the air and people are giving it rave reviews! Our friends, Eddie Klancnik and his group were a big hit on the polka weekend and people are very impressed with their guest spots on PolkaRama. Don't know the line-up for the PolkaFest 2012, but as soon as we have it, we will let you know on this site. Mark is almost finished editing the Live and Norsk Hostfest album, so it should be available at the show in Minot this September. We are also confirmed at the Great Northwest Oktoberfest in Whitefish, Montana, and at the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton for the third weekend in January, 2012. Regina, January 10, 2011: All three DVDs from season four of PolkaRama are finally available through this site. We also have a new hard copy catalogue, which we are sending out with every order, detailing all of the DVDs and CDs we currently have available. For those of you patiently waiting for the shows shot in the spring of 2010, you will have to be patient a little longer because they are not yet edited. We are also pleased to announce that our new CD, You Polka, You Brought Her is now available through this site. It is a great album, with a variety of polkas and waltzes in the Senator style. The Senators' 33 and a third Anniversary album is now available through this site. There are 18 tunes on the album, taken from our recordings, dating back to 1976 when the band was born.
